Two District Conventions are conducted every year
The District Conference is an exciting , educational ,
fun-filled event that serves as a showcase to the Clubs and to the community
which the District serves.
Among many things , a District Conference serves the
following purposes:

Conduct a District Council meeting

Convene the District Annual Business Meeting during which
the incoming District
officers are elected

Conduct the International Speech Contest
A District Conference also seek to
-
Provide educational opportunities such as general interest
presentation and conduct educational events/activities which will
promote the critical success factors of District/ Club Officer Training,
Club extension, membership growth , and educational achievement within Clubs
-
provide opportunities for fellowship and the exchange of
ideas for all Toastmasters.

Showcase an outstanding Communication and Leadership Award
recipient or keynote speaker.

Recognize Toastmasters accomplishments in the District

Conduct other speech and educational contests.
Many factors contribute to a successful District Conference
: effective and worthwhile educational sessions, events that begin and
end on time, good food worth the price of the ticket, a quality sound system
for the speech contest, hotel accommodation that are comfortable and
reasonably prices etc.
Participants of a Toastmasters Convention should leave the
conference with a feeling that they enjoyed, learned and benefited form
attending
The Johor Bahru Toastmasters Club ,of Division A, has
the good fortune of organizing two Toastmasters Conventions so far
